Le Mont d’Arbois
Situer le secteur
The Mont d'Arbois has always been recognized as the most prestigious sector of Megève, and certainly one of the most popular in the Alps. Developed in the 1930s by the Rothschild family, who still owns land and establishments there today, the Mont d'Arbois is synonymous with discreet luxury and French Art-de-Vivre. The presence of the Four Seasons Hotel, the Mont d'Arbois golf course, Michelin starred restaurants, ski lifts and some of the most beautiful chalets in the area make it the privileged vacation location for families in search of comfort, luxury, peace and privacy. The vast private estates neighbour old renovated farms, the luxury chalets under construction are located next to active farmes, giving the place a unique character, between tradition and modernity. Some apartments and chalets, in the immediate vicinity of the golf course or built on the edge of it offer unique ski-in ski-out situations.
In terms of real estate, the Mont d´Arbois remains the benchmark value in Megève. Prices per square meter are the highest of the region, with some properties reaching record highs. There are real gems, sometimes inaccessible by road, hidden from view, corresponding to a definition of luxury: discretion. Some chalets can display more than a thousand square meters, with full wellness areas for many. This large hamlet is located on the heights of Megève and its golf course hosts famous tournaments, including the BARNES Mont-Blanc one. The skiing domain receives optimal sunlight and communicates with the Rochebrune domain via the most modern cable car. Altitude restaurants are the trendy meeting places for experienced skiers, and starred restaurants see the greatest Chefs settle down. Nous, a restaurant recently opened by Chef Julien Gatillon, the high-altitude gourmet restaurant Les Mandarines or L'Idéal 1850, located at the top of Mont d'Arbois, rub shoulders with the starred tables of Megève. Anne-Sophie Pic has found residence at La Dame de Pic - Le 1920, the gourmet restaurant of the Four Seasons resort.
