The West Shore of the Annecy Lake has a history of charming travelers and residents.
Already in Ancient Rome, a route passing by the West Shore of the Lake connected Geneva to Rome. Facing the Tournette, a mountaintop overlooking the lake, the West Shore stretches over twenty kilometers, from Sevrier to Doussard, passing by the beaches of Saint-Jorioz and the famous village of Duingt, with its magnificent 18th century castle. This exceptionally preserved environment between lake and mountain offers a typical and beautiful setting to live in.
Ideally located 15 minutes from the motorway and 45 minutes from the Geneva airport, the villages on the West Shore are directly connected to Annecy centre by road (in 10 minutes), by bus, by foot or by the Greenway, a protected bicycle path running around the entire lake, creasted instead of an old railroad track.
The West Shore offers all the amenities and services necessary for a year-long residence: local stores, craftmen, shopping malls and medical centers, as well as nurseries, primary schools and a secondary school located in Saint-Jorioz.
