The village of Megève hosts from January 20 to 22, 2023, the first automobile elegance competition on snow. An alliance of pleasure, sport, art and culture is the promise made by the organizers of this 1st edition of Elegance in Megève.
Presentation of the Megève Concours d'Élégance
This luxury event invites you to discover some fifty exceptional cars in the heart of a snowy setting in a retro and vintage atmosphere. In fact, for its first edition, the competition is open to around fifty modern and old cars such as a Porsche 550, several Bugattis including a type 51, Ferraris including a 365 GTB/4 "Daytona", a Porsche 928 and many other automotive gems.
Dynamic demonstrations on the snow are also on the program with a very special layout: a track covered with Glice, a surface that reproduces the effect of driving and sliding on ice without having to artificially manufacture it.
In addition, static exhibitions, activities, retro atmosphere, small hot dishes and all within the charming village of Megève, wedged between the Aravis and the Chamonix valley and will complete the season of French competitions such as those of Chantilly, Dinard, or even The Baule.
The Concours d'Elegance: scoring and prizes
A jury, made up of experts and well-known personalities in the automotive world, will evaluate the cars as well as the outfits worn by the drivers. Indeed, the "Ski 70's" Dress Code will be important and will be part of the scoring. The public will also have its part to play by also awarding points to the participants.
Vehicles will be classified as follows:
- Vintage Megève spirit (before 1990)
- Stars (after 1990)
Vehicles will be scored out of 50 points:
- 10 points for the elegance of the vehicle body design;
- 10 points for the originality of the original mechanical parts;
- 10 points for the correct respect of the original and the harmony of the color combinations;
- 10 points for the elegance of the interiors and the crew;
- 10 points for the elegance and correctness of all the accessories, provided they are compliant.
Cars and drivers will be awarded prizes for the winners of the following categories:
- Most Beautiful Vintage Car
- Most Beautiful Modern Car
- Most Beautiful Car
- Over All Regularity prize on the laps between the two rounds
- Best Crew Award
Many personalities expected for elegance in Megève
For this first edition of this prestigious competition, Jean Todt honors the competition with his presence. Indeed, the former president of the FIA, ex-boss of Peugeot Sport and ex-rally co-driver, will be the guest of honor but also the sponsor of a new automotive event. The French sculptor, Antoine Dufilho, passionate about futurism and a big fan of Bugatti, will also be there. He has a passion for sports cars and their mechanical beauty. Moreover, one of his models will be auctioned for the benefit of the Cœur Vanessa association, which is involved in the fight against cancer.

Friday January 20
7 p.m.: opening ceremony
Saturday January 21
8:30 am: opening of the village to the public - start of the inspection of the cars by the Jury
9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: 1st driving session
1 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Parade of cars from the Concours d’Élégance
12 p.m. – 2 p.m.: baptism of the track for the benefit of the fight against childhood cancer
2 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.: 2nd driving session
9 p.m.: gala dinner, prize-giving ceremony
Sunday January 22
From 2:30 p.m.: spectators are invited to come and celebrate the end of the event with music, wearing vintage après-ski outfits, thus celebrating the 1970s.
